RUSH SERVICE

​

The usual time for case completion (as per practice norms) is two to four weeks. We are often able to accommodate clients who need work done on an expedited basis. Please review the related footnote below.

CONTINGENCY FEES

​

We occasionally take cases on a contingency basis. There is a non-refundable $50 charge for a brief initial case review. If we accept the case, no further charges (other than expenses) are due until the case is settled. At that time, our fee is 1% of the total (i.e.: gross) settlement, with a minimum of $1,000 and a maximum of $25,000. Note that these figures may be adjusted upwards slightly if no settlement is reached after two and five years (from the time of our initial involvement); contact us for more details. Also, all expenses are expected to be paid in full under our usual terms.

• Payment terms: Net thirty (30) days.

• Electronic transmissions, faxing (ingoing & outgoing), scanning (up to 20 pages), local & long distance phone calls (within the US), and postage (less than $2 per item) are provided gratis.

4: Includes weekends and holidays. Time begins at 9:00 AM ET the day following assignment, assuming all relevant paperwork is delivered and available by 6:00 PM the day before (i.e.: assignment day). This service is considered completed if sent electronically by 8:59 AM up to 72 hours later. For example, an assignment discussed Monday afternoon will be ready no later than 9:00 AM Friday. The 100% surcharge applies only to labor; expenses are billed as usual. Note that failure to complete the assignment within the time specified forfeits only the surcharge, not the underlying labor or expenses.

The 50% surcharge applies only to labor; expenses are billed as usual. Note that failure to complete the assignment within the time specified forfeits only the surcharge, not the underlying labor or expenses.

6: More than 25 miles per day, and linked to annual published IRS guidelines. Does not apply to travel to hiring attorney’s office(s) in the Bronx, Manhattan, or Westchester (below Route 287). Parking, fares, and tolls are always considered reimbursable expenses.
